Acupuncture is a safe, effective way to help better the life of your pet. It has been in use for over 5,000 years and typically patients do not experience any discomfort when receiving acupuncture. In fact, most animals become relaxed and respond well to treatment. Acupuncture can be used for:allergies, pain relief, arthritis, asthma, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances and immune related disorders. Talk to our doctors to see if your pet could benefit from acupuncture.  Dr. Laila Nabulsi is a licensed acupuncturist who has been practicing acupuncture for nearly 20 years and has been N.A.E.T certified for 8 years. Her love of animals prompted her to use her profession to better the lives of our pets and she has been an important part of our office since 2008. Dr. Laila lives in Costa Mesa with her husband and cats.

"My Abyssinian cat, Meeko, has asthma. Another veterinarian (before we met Dr. Jang) prescribed steroids which made Meeko very mellow.  He rarely played anymore.  After being on steroids for 3 years Meeko developed diabetes.  He lost a lot of weight because his body was not absorbing protein.  Dr. Jang prescribed Albuterol for the asthma and insulin shots for the diabetes.  We weaned Meeko off the steroids. All this was helping, but Meeko was not cured.  Dr. Jang suggested a new treatment that we could try...acupuncture.  We met Dr. Laila and after only 3 months of treatment, Meeko was off steroids, the diabetes was completely gone, and the asthma was now controlled without drugs.  Meeko is now 7 years old, happy and playing again!  It was several months before I took Meeko back to Dr. Laila for a treatment, and that was just precautionary because we were moving.  The asthma is still under control (a year later.)  I highly recommend acupuncture by Dr. Laila.  It has made a world of difference for Meeko!"     -R.M.
